Volunteer William Beteta is the Executive Director of Heartland Visioning. They are holding three community meetings this week to find out what Shawnee County residents would like to see in the future of our area. Tonight is the first meeting and it’s open to the public. I hope we have lots of people show up at the meetings who support the arts in our community! For more information about the meetings, visit Heartlandvisioning.com.

TCTA Supporter Larry Tenopir gave us some cool news that will appeal to all the TCTA Urinetown fans!…
Kansas Summer Theatre (at Kansas University) is presenting the world premiere of The Girl, the Grouch and the Goat: A Modern Fable by Jack Helbig and Mark Hollmann who wrote Urinetown!
It’s a family-friendly musical great for all ages. If you loved Urinetown, then you’ll love this new show by the same terrific writers! For more information, visit https://ticketweb.lss.ku.edu/online/calendar.asp

Several people from TCTA saw The Girl, the Grouch and the Goat last night at KU and it’s excellent. If you have a chance to see it…go! Plus, you’ll recognize TCTA volunteer Sam Beasley in the cast. And, best of all, it’s good for all ages. My four year old loved it.
