PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:Shannon has directed over 100 productions for Topeka Civic Theatre. Past theatre credits include work with the Acting Company of New York, the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas and The Missouri Repertory Theatre in Kansas City. Shannon served as Education Director / Artistic Director of the Bleu Lakes Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. He also has formed two improvisational comedy companies, Laughing Stock of Kansas City and TCT’s own improv troupe, Laugh Lines.

BACKGROUND: B.A. of Secondary Education in Theatre/Communications and Masters in English from Emporia State University. Taught theatre and English for 15 years and has worked in various community theaters. Runs Berkeley Square Media with Dave Uhler.

BACKGROUND: Deb began her theatre career as a youth volunteer working backstage and in the scene shop at TCT’s Warehouse on the Levee. In 2000, she joined the TCT staff serving as the designer and technical director for all the shows in the [then] studio theater. In 2005, she left TCT to pursue other opportunities, eventually earning degrees in theatre and communication. In addition to working with numerous theatre companies in the area, Deb has also worked as Deck Chief and Carpenter for the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and as a scenic and props designer for the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre in Michigan.

BACKGROUND: Cassie has a BA in Theatre from Centenary College of Louisiana and her AFA in Theatre and Dance from Cottey College. She has taught and directed multiple theatre workshops and classes in Kansas and Missouri. Her design expertise is in props and costumes.

BACKGROUND: Tom has a B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. Mary’s College and experience in education, office management, data analysis and graphics. Tom is especially known for his expertise with Excel spreadsheets! Tom has volunteered at TCT since 1996 in many capacities including acting in Mainstage, Studio, TYA and Academy shows and is a member of the Bravo! Team.
