BACKGROUND: Deb began her theatre career as a youth volunteer working backstage and in the scene shop at TCT’s Warehouse on the Levee. In 2000, she joined the TCT staff serving as the designer and technical director for all the shows in the [then] studio theater. In 2005, she left TCT to pursue other opportunities, eventually earning degrees in theatre and communication. In addition to working with numerous theatre companies in the area, Deb has also worked as Deck Chief and Carpenter for the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and as a scenic and props designer for the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre in Michigan.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

Shannon has directed over 100 productions for Topeka Civic Theatre. Past theatre credits include work with the Acting Company of New York, the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas and The Missouri Repertory Theatre in Kansas City. Shannon served as Education Director / Artistic Director of the Bleu Lakes Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. He also has formed two improvisational comedy companies, Laughing Stock of Kansas City and TCT's own improv troupe, Laugh Lines.
