July 13 - August 12, 2018

Grease

The year is 1959, a pivotal moment in cultural history, when rock ‘n’ roll was giving birth to the Sexual Revolution and everything in American culture was being turned upside down. Grease is a toe-tapping, fabulous fifties sing-along musical loved by millions. However, it was originally considered a rowdy, dangerous, over-sexed and insightful piece of alternative theatre – like Hair and The Rocky Horror Show. It was last seen on Topeka Civic Theatre’s stage 25 years ago.
